Tema: 1.9 cdti - Engine shaking, rattle while turning it off - Z19DT

My z19dt engine has suddenly developed this shaking/rattling sound. It starts fine, runs perfect, but it shakes while I turn it off. Any ideas what has gone? Engine mounting? Some bushing? Gearbox mounting?>

Según se comentó por el foro , unos de los motivos puede ser la mariposa de admisión sucia . A mi también me daba sacudidas y al final fue la polea del cigüeñal , que tenía holgura .

the engine judders only when I turn it off. When I start it and when it runs, it is all perfect.

people say it is the throttle flap needing a good clean. i did an op-com test of the anti shudder flap and the engine shuts down without any judder

Have you tested the mounts of engine/gearbox??? I had the same problem in other car and I had to change them to solve the problem

The symptoms are the same, so you can test the crankshaft pulley, as it happened to Alberto...

Dado que los síntomas son los mismos, puedes comprobar la polea del cigüeñal, como le pasó a Alberto...

Did another test. Clearly the op-com test closes the flap whereas the ECU doesn't. See this

yes somehting is wrong with the electronic board in the throttle body. I am sending the throttle to a special company which will recondition/regenerate it

The throttle body arrived yesterday after having been reconned. It is only now that I see it had been at fault earlier, as I now see/hear/feel how smoothly and rapidly the engine can be shut down.   So earlier I hadn’t noticed it until the flap totally failed to close  and there was lots of judder. I’m sure it didn’t close completely beforehand and there was a slight judder.

No the engine shuts down in a very short time and there is absolutely no judder, it is absolutely smooth 

So I do recommend removing the inlet pipe from the throttle body, set a camcorder and record the moment the flap is supposed do close at engine shutdown. See if it closes totally, if it closes steadily and rapidly.

Porque vamos a ver, "Google" tiene un traductor que no es maravilloso, pero sí es efectivo.

Mine had the same problem of shaking when stopping the engine, and it was due to a faulty throttle body
In my case it also meant that engine often went into safe mode (power reduced, unuasable cruisse control, etc)..

El mío tenía el mismo problema de sacudidas al parar el motor y era debido a que fallaba el cuerpo de mariposa.
En mi caso suponía que el motor muchas veces entraba en modo seguro (sin fuerza, el control de velocidad no iba, etc)
